It does not take long to discover that the cannabis industry is FULL of the most compassionate, kind-hearted, and generous people you could ever hope to meet. To celebrate this tradition, our Elevated Advocates exit the program with a clearly defined action plan for philanthropic partnership.
For our part at Sativa Science Club, we focus 100% of our efforts squarely on education. And we feel strongly that this goes beyond the cannabis classroom. If we want to see real and lasting change on a global scale, it is imperative that we nurture the future leaders of the next generation.
HOW WE GIVE
As a social entrepreneur (and Founder of SSC) I’ll be honest with you, finding the right organization to align with can be a challenge. It took some soul searching to find the perfect fit. However, after spending a month on an exploratory visit to Myanmar and Laos, I learned a great deal about the need for accessible education in rural SE Asia. Along the way, I was able to visit a variety of schoolhouses and discuss the most productive non-profits for partnership. One name I heard come up consistently was Pencils of Promise.
Pencils of Promise (PoP) is an organization of bleeding hearts who build schools and provide quality educational programming to increase literacy rates in Ghana, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Laos. Every month, we donate half of the proceeds from our 101 level training library to the PoP Passport program. 100% of these funds are used to support school builds and scholarships for communities in need. The rest helps us host free senior care days and educational activities closer to home.
When you invest in SSC, you can rest assured that, besides helping you learn and grow, your contribution is helping to uplift the cannabis industry while making a meaningful global impact. We exist only to empower, educate, and uplift.
