Keeping up with the latest cannabis science requires a tremendous amount of time, organization, and research strategy. Even then, it's hard to determine what information is legitimately worth pursuing. Without professional support and guidance, this process can be overwhelming. That's why so many businesses today are basing crucial decisions about their products and services around faulty and outdated information. Our goal is to help you take the guesswork out of your research efforts and fast-track your growth by establishing a consistent and attention-grabbing outreach routine. We'll make sure you know all there is to know about the latest cannabis science, provide you with the tools to incorporate this knowledge into your practice and save you years of hard work full of trial and error.
What's not covered in the program?
Broadly speaking, we don’t cover cultivation practices, medical cannabis for doctors, localized laws, legal business structures, or anything granular relating to specific business practices. However, we do partner with a wide range of cannabis colleges and universities who do cover these topics, AND they all provide super deep discounts to members of the Sativa Science Club community. If you're seeking an answer to a particular question, you can always write to firstname.lastname@example.org.
What will I learn?
For a specific course breakdown, including the core curriculum and additional master classes, click here.
But, let the record show that the power of Sativa Science Club does not lie in propriety videos or secret science formulas. It's 100% true that all of the information you could ever want is already available to you, online, for free.
However, getting started can be intense and sorting out what's accurate and up to date can feel impossible. Plus, if you’re not already aware of where to start or what it is you need to know — all of the free information in the universe won’t help.
Becoming an Elevated Advocate is a transformative experience. It’s action-oriented, it's deeply involved, and frankly, it can get intense. This program is not about having access to exclusive videos or hidden information. It’s about doing real research, participating in real self-work, and leveraging your unique strengths in order to bloom into your full potential.
The real value is not in the coursework at all. Instead, it's in the skills and capabilities you’ll develop, the questions you will learn to ask, the risks you’ll learn to take, and the relationships you’ll develop along the way. In our humble opinion, the powerhouse advocate you’ll become as a result of joining Sativa Science Club’s community is priceless.
Where does the training take place?
99.5% of the program takes place online — no travel is required. Heck, you don't even have to get out of bed. Once the training begins, you have lifetime access; members can choose to go through the material as it is released, or slow things down and work at a more manageable pace.
What sets elevated advocacy apart from any other program?
Sativa Science Club is the among the first and fastest growing cannabis communities on the planet. Our curriculum and services are often imitated but never duplicated. Unlike the overwhelming majority of cannabis colleges out there, we are not here to issue a certificate and throw you to the wolves. We are a dedicated community of compassionate, confident, and goal oriented peers. When you join Sativa Science Club, you become part of a global network who are every bit as dedicated as you are. Even better? You will know, with great certainty, that these advocates are just as well rounded and researched as you. PLUS, you'll have a secure and safe space to coordinate, collaborate, and carry out advocacy efforts worldwide.
Elevated Advocacy is an action-oriented, purpose-driven and transformative program. We sincerely care about you — our peers and our members. And we want to keep you around so much that you will receive lifetime access to our training.
To be the very best that we can be, we are always looking for flaws, changing outdated information, and improving every square inch of the program. Once you're in, you will receive those updates completely free. Grow along with us! Over the years, we will continue to cultivate an experience that helps you take meaningful action and execute your goals.
How much time do I need to set aside?
Elevated Advocacy is a 6-series program. Each series contains 4-6 classes. One new class is release every week. If you're a real go-getter who plans to work through the program as it unfolds, we recommend setting aside between 4-6 hours per week to work through each class, watch any videos, and complete your assignments. Don't forget to reach out and engage with the community while you're at it.
Many of our students intend to keep up as new classes are released, but life happens, and this is completely ok. Members can pause as often as needed and return to each series as their schedule allows. However, just note that the program must be completed in sequential order, so students will not be able to jump around from series to series.
If you’re not able to carve out several hours of time, never fear. Once you're in, you'll have lifetime access to the coursework. From here, it's up to you to work through it at your own pace and on your own schedule. As you might have guessed, we are all adults over the age of 21. This means that most of our members already have full-time jobs or businesses and families to attend to. Make no mistake, this experience is designed to challenge you to execute at your highest potential, but this process can be customized to fit your life.
The more focus and dedication you put in, the more benefit you’ll get out of the experience. Other factors that might affect how much time you’ll want to set aside include:
Your overall focus and clarity
How much cannabis background you already have
Your current level of education
Your ability to prioritize
Your ability to fully focus on the task at hand
How much momentum you put into your practice
Your comfort level with the internet and technology
Whether or not you decide to contribute to group conversations
Whether or not you choose to finish every inch of coursework
To be 100% honest and upfront, there are no guaranteed results. Building an advocacy practice that matters is not a quick process. In fact, Elevated Advocacy requires a minimum of 7 months to complete. We try to cut out the guesswork, we provide you with well organized and vetted data, we'll even walk you through our step by step process for becoming a profitable cannabis advocate, but this is not a one size fits all program. Don't forget; we're fighting against federal regulations and many many moons of prohibition. Being a true and impactful cannabis advocate is intense, time-consuming, demanding, sticky, emotional, and something you might need to work at for the rest of your life.
WHEN IS THE NEXT SESSION?
Effective March, 2019, you can enroll in Elevated Advocacy year round!
If you’re on the road or have other significant commitments during once you enroll, it’s not a problem. Once you join, you'll have lifetime access to the material for as long as the program exists (and yes, that includes the updates we make every year).
About The Community
Who is the program perfect for?
Elevated Advocacy is intended for compassionate cannabis advocates, big-hearted freelancers, coaches, marketers, small business owners, entrepreneurs, or anything in between. Our students are very diverse and span multiple niche markets across 17+ countries.
From farming, extracting, wholesale, delivery, retail, body care, glass blowing, ceramics crafting, festival organizing, design, app development, employee training, investment, tech, nutrition, yogis, writers, every flavor of speaker, authors, coaches, and consultants — the amazingly diverse range of creatives in the Sativa Science Club community is one of our most valuable offerings.
No matter what path you take, the Elevated Advocacy experience is designed to help you start and grow a meaningful practice that you can believe in by learning how to apply your knowledge more effectively. And by 'more effectively' we mean with more heart, humanity, clarity, transparency, and research.
But one thing is for certain; this program is only for committed advocates who are dedicated to making a meaningful impact by acting on their goals. Consistently.
Who is not right for the program?
Our program is not right for anyone looking for assistance with logistical setup, cultivation training, or general manufacturing and distribution. Sativa Science Club is also not the place to market to your fellow students. Although we may share ideas or partner on community health initiatives, Sativa Science Club is a sales-free environment.
It’s also not right for you if you consider yourself to be an expert and you are looking for a place to debate, or trash talk industry brands to showcase your smarts — this isn't about an individual, it's about the empowerment of the greater community.
This program is not right if you are hoping to catch a few passive videos and learn by osmosis. Sativa Science Club is a community for action-takers who understand that real change only comes with consistent, focused effort over time. In general, Sativa Science Club is not right for someone looking for a cure all system. This is not a “become an expert overnight” program. It’s a “develop a powerful skill set by doing a ton of research over a long period of time” program.
I don't live in America, can I join?
Definitely! We currently have students in 17 countries (and counting). We do count on you to follow your local laws and regulations. And we do not condone or support breaking them. However, the principles you’ll learn as a member of Elevated Advocacy are universally applicable. More importantly — the skills, habits, and confidence you’ll develop from this experience are transformative and will benefit you for a lifetime.
What if I’m not currently a practicing advocate or business owner?
Although our program is suitable for members of all skill levels, the initial training is especially helpful to those who are just starting out. This is mainly because you will not have to unlearn years of misinformation to get ahead. This program will train you to act like an activist and think like an entrepreneur. We aim to set you up for success and help you to avoid the costly mistakes even the smartest advocates make when they get started.
My business is not specific to cannabis, but cannabis is a component. Is this a good fit for me?
We’re proud to have grads across multiple niche markets and 17+ countries. From farming, extracting, wholesale, delivery, retail, body care, glass blowing, ceramics crafting, festival organizing, design, app development, employee training, investment, tech, nutrition, yogis, writers, every flavor of speaker, authors, coaches, and consultants — the amazingly diverse range of creatives in the Sativa Science Club community is one of our most valuable offerings.
No matter how you choose to advocate, you must understand how to share your message and create outstanding client experiences effectively. Regardless of your unique corner of the industry, it is critical that cannabis advocates learn how to build trust and nurture meaningful connections within their community. So if you plan to turn your advocacy lifestyle into a living, Sativa Science Club is here to help.
I work for a larger business, and I want to take the training and pass down the knowledge via employee training. is this ok?
Sativa Science Club offers single membership programs ONLY. Meaning, one person per membership. We've put years of time, energy, and research into what we do and we count on our memberships to keep that momentum going. Although you can use the information provided to inspire your own training program, we do hope that you will not lift our copywritten material directly. We are happy to support you as long as you return the favor. If you’d like to complete the program along with your teammates, please show your support for our hard work and dedication by enrolling your team mates separately.
Do I need to be tech-savvy to join?
We’ve had several senior aged members purchase a laptop (for the first time) to participate in the program. If you’re truly dedicated and hungry to learn, you’ll be fine.
Is SATIVA SCIENCE CLUB just for women?
No way! While many of our members are women; we have a powerful and growing audience of male members. Our coursework is not gender specific, and we firmly believe that education is for everybody.
About The Tuition
What is the tuition for Elevated advocacy?
The tuition for Elevated Advocacy is $1,999 if you cover it in full. Payment plans are available at $375 per month for 6 months. Scholarships are available once annually.
Do you offer scholarships?
Yes. Each year we curate four video-based or essay-based scholarship opportunities. These contests are open to everyone; however, we must disclose that preference will be given to women, people of color, convicted cannabis felons, military veterans, and philanthropists.
So far, we’ve awarded 75 full and partial scholarships since 2016! – To be notified of our scholarship details when they’re available, be sure to give us a follow on Instagram @sativa_science_club and pay close attention to our emails. This is where we will release any fresh scholarship details, due dates, and participation guidelines. Scholarship contests are generally only open for a few days at a time so be sure to stay on top of those emails and read them thoroughly.
What Forms Of Payment Do You Accept?
We are able to accept all common credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or PayPal. Sorry, we are not unable to receive checks or invoices at this time.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes. We do have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. This is how it works:
Members are encouraged to participate in the first class upon the start of the program. If you no longer feel that we are the right fit for you, just send us an email.
We'll be honest; we do ask for your completed coursework to make sure you gave it a good old-fashioned try. We'll also ask you to describe what didn’t work for you so we can continue to learn and grow ourselves. Once we receive your completed coursework for the first week of classes, you will be issued a swift and complete refund.
Please pay close attention to our refund policy and dates. We make our refund deadline extraordinarily clear to everyone who signs up from the get-go.
The deadline is in place because, if you do choose to become a member, we really want you to get started on the work as soon as possible. We pour an enormous amount of love and effort into this program, and we make it a priority to devote that effort to members and advocates who are just as committed as we are. If you are unable to get started right away, make sure this is going to be the right investment for you. We have to respect our boundaries and the refund period does have a firm deadline.
If you do all of the work and don’t get any value, we ask that you submit your completed assignments within the first two weeks, in exchange, we will give you a full tuition refund within 30 days of your enrollment. It really is as simple as that.
Odds & Ends
How is ELEVATED ADVOCACY different from other cannabis certificate programs or free resources?
There’s more free information available on every imaginable subject, including cannabis, than ever before. But if you’re not already aware of what you need to know and why you need to know it, all the free information in the world won’t do you any good.
This program is not about having access to hidden videos or secret science formulas. It’s about learning as much as you can, continuing to do the research, and leveraging your unique strengths to make an impact in the fight to legalize cannabis. Joining Sativa Science Club means putting yourself in a global community that is counting on you to unleash your full potential. Our members gain something from our program that they will never find in a traditional school. We are not here to issue you a certificate. We are here to build relationships that last a lifetime and foster a community of peers who are dedicated to personal and professional growth. We are not students or teachers; we are a team.
Will I speak with, or get help directly from, the experts?
Our program provides a group learning experience from the comfort of your own home. Getting real-time guidance and support is never more than a few clicks away. With members in all time zones around the clock, you’ll never be without our super knowledgeable community of advocates by your side.
The program is spearheaded by our founder Brandie Leach with the support of participating experts from all walks of life. While these individuals may conduct live Q&A sessions, and they are often active on our membership boards, we cannot guarantee individual feedback.
Will I get a certificate or transferable credits?
There are currently no accredited third-party bodies in the cannabis industry. If anyone attempts to tell you that you'll be nationally accredited as a certified cannabis expert, pack up your pencil box and run the other way. Until federal legalization opens up this is not a possibility. However, we do issue certificates of completion once you have finished each series in Elevated Advocacy. These are not intended to replace a degree. They are simply to prove that you've gone the extra mile to learn and grow as part of the Sativa Science Club team.
How do you support your members through the program?
Dynamic, diverse, and compassionate support is the backbone of the Sativa Science Club movement. Once you join the club, you’ll have guidance from a global network of like-minded creatives in a safe and encouraging environment.
