Series three: lesson one

ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY, & the ECS

The purpose of this course is to introduce the Endogenous Cannabinoid System (ECS) and begin to understand how it works and why it is present in our body. Together we will explore a brief overview of human anatomy and physiology in order to be able to fully understand the importance of the ECS. We will discuss the body’s endocannabinoids, how they are produced and why they are crucial to the optimal functioning of primary body systems. This course will allow us to contextualize how phytocannabinoids interact with human physiology in later modules. Provided herein you will find your lesson syllabus, a study guide, a short video, a printable notes template, and a PDF of our slides. Simply click on each of the images below. As always, do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions and do take advantage of our virtual study groups as you prepare for the quiz. Best of luck to you!
