C1 Compassionate Clint Care

Cohort 1

When working with Cannabis, it is necessary to connect with consumers to gain a greater understanding of their desired experience. When novice consumers have questions and concerns about Cannabis it is the job of Cannabis professionals to simultaneously put them at ease and help them navigate the often overwhelming market. In this course, students will learn techniques to deliver the highest standard of care and information (without making medical claims!) to customers in an efficient manner.

  • Module One: Connecting with Consumers

    • The purpose of this course is to provide students with the tools to engage with consumers in a meaningful and respectful way. Oftentimes, novice consumers are very intimidated to talk about Cannabis. It is the job of Cannabis professionals and advocates to establish trust with novice consumers and help them navigate the often overwhelming world of legal Cannabis. In this course, students will learn techniques to deliver the highest standard of customer service and establish a relationship of trust with their customers. This course help teach students how to take all of the Cannabis science and product knowledge from the prior learning modules and communicate the information in a clear, digestible, respectful way.

  • Moule Two: Destigmatizing Cannabis

    • The purpose of this course is to provide students with the tools to respectfully engage with people who may have negative perceptions of Cannabis and Cannabis consumers. Many people have negative perceptions of Cannabis due to prohibition and government propaganda. In this course, students will learn how to engage in a meaningful and respectful dialogue with people who have negative perceptions of Cannabis. We will teach students how to subvert common stigmas associated with Cannabis while still maintaining the highest standard of customer service.

  • Module Three: Explaining Cannabis

    • The purpose of this course is to provide students with the language to explain all of the Cannabis science from previous learning modules to consumers in a concise and effective way. This course will provide students with ways to explain Cannabis science in an efficient manner to consumers with limited background knowledge. We will offer examples of best practices on how to educate consumers, while making sure to not overwhelm or alienate them. This course will pull from information learned in all prior modules and help students feel prepared to educate others.

  • Module Four: Navigating Medical Concerns

    • The purpose of this course is to provide students with ways to navigate consumer’s medical concerns. Many consumers look to Cannabis to help treat medical issues because of the wide range of healing potential Cannabis does have. However, budtenders and industry professionals are forbidden from making medical claims. This course will teach students how to best address consumer’s medical concerns and provide guidance without making medical claims. This course will also introduce the concept of Cannabis as part of a holistic wellness practice, which will be later deeply explored in an elective course of study.
